An officer said Joshua Rucker actively resisted during a traffic stop on Saturday on Cooley Street.

Rucker, 28, was charged with assault on police, resisting arrest, evading arrest, possession of marijuana for resale, possession of ecstasy, and failure to exercise due care.

The officer said he was in a marked patrol car at Dodds Avenue and Windsor Street in a section known for high drug activity and assaults.

He said he saw a white Nissan Murano make a right turn at the intersection. He said he recognized the driver as Rucker and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The officer said, after he started following the Nissan, that it ran a stop sign before halting on Cooley. He said an unknown white male left the scene.

The officer said Rucker went into a defensive stance and they struggled before falling onto a porch of a nearby residence. He said he tried to use a taser, but it was not effective.

Rucker ran off, but was caught by other officers less than a mile away.

The vehicle contained seven ecstasy pills and 251.5 grams of marijuana. The $916 in cash that Rucker had on him was confiscated as drug money.

Rucker said he resisted because he has active warrants.

He refused medical treatment.

Neither Honduras or our subjective media in America have been honest with us in the past. So, how do we know why that many people are marching across Central America? Then this morning ...
