Upcoming Street Closings Announced

Here are upcoming street closings:

Thursday

Operation UTC Freshman Move-in - E.
8th St, between University st and Douglas St, will be closed from 6 am until 5:30 pm on Thursday, August 16th for the UTC freshmen class dorm move-in.

Friday

Nightfall - Market Street will be closed from East 8th Street to East 10th Street, and ML King Blvd will be closed from Broad Street to Georgia Avenue from5:30 pm until 12:00 midnight on Friday, August 17th, 2018. This closure will be in effect each Friday night through August 31. 

West Village Out on 8th  - W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed from 2 pm on August 17th until  8AM on Saturday, August 18th.  
This closure will be in effect each Friday night through October 27, 2018.

Saturday

West Village Street Festivals-  Pine Street between W 7th Street and W M.L. King Blvd, and 
W 8th Street between Pine Street and Chestnut Street will be closed from 8 am until midnight each Saturday through January 19, 2019

Sunday

Chattanooga Market - Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the pavilion parking lot to W 19th Street from 6:00 am until 8:00 pm each Sunday through November 18.

IRONMAN 2018 Street Closures And Spectator Information Announced

Mountain City Club Considering Sale Of Downtown Club To Developer Defoor

Officials of the Mountain City Club are considering sale of the property at Eighth and Chestnut to a developer. Dan Saieed, club president, said the board was approached by developer Byron Defoor with an offer for the property. EPB Is Wrong To Increase Rates

Recently EPB has decided to raise rates by up to $8 per month. They claim that they are losing money on the video side because the cut the cord campaign. It's funny that EPB wants to have 100,000 subscribers by doing this. Comcast is going to raise their rates and EPB is doing it as well.
