Chattanooga Police have charged a couple with a carjacking on New Year's Eve.

Jeffery John Nunes, 27, and Crystal Dale Johnson, 26, of 7005 Pauline Circle, are charged with carjacking and theft of property.

A man told police he gave a ride to a white male and white female from the Mr. Zip on Gunbarrel Road. He took them to Hamilton Place Skate Place on Goodwin Road.

He said once at the skate park that the man produced a gun and ordered him out of the car. The couple then drove off in his white 2013 Nissan Sentra.

On Jan. 10, an East Ridge officer located the stolen vehicle at 115 Arnold Dr. in East Ridge. The vehicle had been there since Jan. 7.

Inside the vehicle police found a large amount of men's and women's clothing as well as documents and personal writings with the names of Jeffery Nunes and Crystal Johnson.

The victim in the case picked Nunes out of a lineup.

Police found a Facebook page indicating Nunes and Ms. Johnson were a couple.

Video from the Mr. Zip from Dec. 31 showed a couple that appeared to be Nunes and Ms. Johnson there at the same time as the victim.
